Let's nurture the wanderer & explorer in us
& let it lead us to consciousness expanding adventures
because adventures are good for the Soul
After hours of being on the road, passing through forests and mountains & tracing a sublime trajectory through snow and alongside lakes, my friends and I were at Crater Lake National Park at 4 pm.
Bone numbing & spine chilling cold
Leaping & trudging through knee deep snow
Snow fights & Nature's exhilarating highs
Mind boggling beauty & transcendence
A Lake so clear & blue
The sky so vast & blue
The forest & cliffs standing tall & buried in snow
Being out there was a treat for the Soul, a healing potion for the core.
In the end, spending just a few moments out in Nature's presence changes us.
As a child of the 80's, when I was a kid of eight, I would circle the perimeter of a playground near my home, climbing onto the raised platform and holding onto the peculiar fences, going around in circles, imagining I was traveling around the world.
Now, as a child of the 80’s, no longer a kid of eight, I feel I am simply executing the will and the energy of my eight year old gypsy self.
