Intelligence – does it have to mock truth? Well, it does – in today’s grand and apparently
progressive world. Put it simply – Intelligence means how well you fit into a system. The
opposite of intelligence is – how much of an aberration you are in the system that you
belong to. How flagrantly you flout the expectations or requirements of a system – really
determines how much of a catastrophic phenomena you are.
Intelligence is synonymous with power and position. Its all about acing a test or getting to be an authority in one system or the other. Intelligence is having all the answers without formulating any
questions and without seeking knowledge or without the burden of conducting unbiased
inquiries. Intelligence is conforming to the best of your abilities because that is what
essentially capability is about. Its about having the right words to grace the right
occasion – it’s about being professional in a work environment and adhering to stringent
laws of dress codes and deadlines, social grace and devious authorities. Intelligence is
getting a job done at any cost and through any means. It means never knowing failure
or never floundering. It means forsaking your freedom and forgetting your ideals. Since
intelligence is about learning fast and solving a problem, lack of intelligence is not being
able to solve problems and not being able to learn things.
It means being as social as possible and fanatically preaching the virtues of it to those deprived of this great gift. Intelligence is making a sacred religion out of everything that others articulate as known wisdom. Its accepting without questioning. It means never being a skeptic but the
eternal believer. Intelligence is succumbing well enough to the reigning rules of an
autocratic form of institution that everyone worships - society. It means being competitive and the best at every stage of life. It means writing a script of life that stands approved by others. It means accomplishing all the inherited milestones at the right time – be it marriage, conceiving children, getting degrees, earning the coveted salary, gracing that throne of power at work.
Intelligence is having rigid and arcane definitions of this term and being willfully unaware of this fallacy through the sweet melody of life. Intelligence is grooming others to the point that you leave them non-functional and tattered and lead them to the kingdom of vile fears. It means harboring the intentions to look beautiful, earn major money, bow to the highest standards of luxuries and honing that circus of notions to reality with the precision of a skilled artist. It means depriving
the other person the precarious right to think for themselves and leave them forever
looking up to others for life decisions.
Intelligence means curbing curiosity and wonder. It’s about embracing tedious work while either pretending to do meaningful work or reconciling with drudgery with a notion that – "real world only has misery and tyranny to offer at jobs”. Intelligence means relegating dreams to the status of "the memoirs of a childhood”. It means thinking in the most mundane way and glorifying obligations and responsibilities with a sense of pride or martyrdom. It means substituting creativeness
with rabid entertainment, aiming for instant gratification, being vain and shunning any awareness culminating to any freedom.
