What does it mean to be a seeker?
Depends on what you are seeking - the truth or a world of pleasure and instant gratification.
So, what does seeking the truth mean?
It means seeking your calling, discovering the purpose of your life, contemplating the reason for your existence and having the courage and wisdom to walk the path that will lead you to your highest self. It is the greatest adventure one can embark upon and the ultimate quest of life.
What does seeking pleasure and instant gratification mean?
It means wasting the promise of life and condemning your soul to a slow, gradual death.
How does one begin to become a seeker?
By asking questions - Why am I doing what I am doing? What were my childhood dreams? What have I always loved doing? What is the true meaning of life? What is important to me? Does my life make sense?
What stands in the way of being a seeker?
Ego. And an overwhelming, perverse need for validation and approval.
Does being a seeker means being lonely?
Being a seeker is a solitary pursuit for the most part unless you find a fellow seeker.
Being a true seeker means working on your mind, soul and spirit. It means staying calm in a world of chaos, being true to your calling and purpose, becoming aware of the delusions and ignorance that pervades the world and choosing to walk away from the meaningless.
